If you are thinking of taking your kid to football classes, you need to know what they have on offer. Here, we will guide you through what our football classes for kids have to offer.

Football classes can be a great thing to take your kid to. They will get them active, they will learn new skills, make new friends and have fun. But, before signing your kid up, you need to know what they have on offer.
Within this article, we will talk you through what our football classes for kids have on offer.
Different Classes For Different Age Groups
At Brazilian Soccer Schools, we break up our classes into different age groups as this allows us to work with the kids at the right pace and to teach them the right skills.
Our classes are broken up as such:
- BSS Minis – 5-8 year olds
- 8-11 year olds
- 11+
BSS Minis will open your kids’ minds to the possibilities of what they can do with a football and lay a good foundation for when they progress through our classes. They will work very much on their own, working on individual skills and techniques.
In our 8-11 classes, your kid will continue doing individual work but they will also work in pairs and groups. In our 11+ group, the foundations have been laid and we begin to focus on addressing players’ tactical, physical and mental development.
A Focus On The Individual
Our football classes place an emphasis on the individual rather than a team methodology. We believe the game should first be seen as an individual pursuit and complete domination and mastery of the tool of the game, the ball, be attained before the player moves into game play.
Focusing on the kids as individuals also allows us to help them in areas where they might be struggling in a more focused and dedicated way.
Futebol de Salão As Our Basis
At Brazilian Soccer Schools, our football training is based upon Futebol de Salão, the original Brazilian version of futsal.
Futebol de Salão is played with five players on each team, on a pitch the size of a basketball court with a smaller (size 2), heavier (465g) ball that has virtually no bounce.
This results in 600% more touches of the ball and a game that is faster, more tightly compressed and with higher pressure. This allows us to trial the core moves and skills needed for a game environment within 5 a side football.
Graduates Head Off To Football Success
Finally, our football classes for kids can start your kid off on a path to football success. We have many of our graduates go off to great success. These include:
- Micah Richards – Former Aston Villa FC, England International;
- John Farnworth – World and European Football Freestyle Championships, holder of 5 Guinness World Records;
- Ryan Fraser – Bournemouth FC, Scotland U21 International;
- Indi Cowie – Guinness World Record holder, Football Freestyler;
- Marlon Fossey – Fulham FC, USA U19 International;
- Abby Towers – Middleborough FC
- Peter Pawlett – Aberdeen FC, Scotland U21 International;
- John Bostock – RC Lens
Your kid will leave our football classes as a highly skilled football player and, through hard work and dedication, they will reach great heights in football.
