Kids Football Classes For 7 Year Olds
At our kids football classes for 7 year olds, your child will learn core football skills that will be the foundation for a career in football. They will also learn about respect, teamwork and friendship. Our classes will help them develop into highly skilled players and well-rounded people.
What Happens In Our Kids Football Classes For 7 Year Olds
When your child is 7, they will be in our BSS Minis classes, which are for 5-8 year olds. The aim of these classes is to open up your kid’s minds to what is truly possible with a football.
Our sessions start with introductions and your kid’s coach will explain what they will be doing in the class and the expectations. Next is the warm up. Each session starts with a warm up and ends with a cool down. We want your kid to understand and appreciate the importance of proper warm ups and cool downs as they are an important part of sport.
After the warm up, we move on to body and ball manipulation, then onto a specific topic. One session this will be juggling, the next juggling and passing, the next dribbling and so on. As your kid progresses through the year, we will do all the skills again. This will help to keep your kid engaged and it will help the development of the skills as a whole.
After this, we have a small sided cool down, with conditions, and then we do the cool down and debrief.
What Will My Kid Learn In The Football Classes For 7 Year Olds?
Your child will learn the core football skills that will help them as they progress through our training. During these classes, they will have a soft introduction to our ICFDS Skills Badge Scheme where they will gain badges as they master certain skills. Our younger kids will be in the preliminary levels – 1st Step and Kick Start. These badges are achievable to obtain through regular training.
They will also learn about respect, teamwork and friendship which will help them in their football training and within life as a whole.
How Are BSS Kids Football Classes Different?
At Brazilian Soccer Schools, we have our own methodology. The key aspects of our training are:

Why Do We Use Futebol de Salão As The Basis Of Our Training?
We use Futebol de Salão, the Brazilian version of futsal, as the basis of our training because it is a faster paced, tightly compressed and highly pressurised game. This leads to the players having 600% more touches of the ball.
This happens because Futebol de Salão is played on a smaller pitch with a smaller, heavier ball that has less bounce. We feel having Futebol de Salão as the basis of our training leads to more highly skilled players and, with graduates like Michah Richards and Abby Towers, our training definitely makes great footballers.

How long are the classes for 7 year olds?
Our classes for 7 year olds are 60-90 minutes long. The exact time will depend on the class you attend but, for the younger kids, they do not exceed 90 minutes.
Which class is best for my 7 year old?
Your 7 year old will be in our BSS Minis classes which are designed for 5-8 year olds.
Are parents involved in the classes?
No, parents are not involved in our BSS classes. Our coaches will solely be the ones training and helping the kids.
What kind of equipment is used in the classes?
We use smaller, heavier Size 2 footballs. All other equipment will be age appropriate to help your child develop their football skills. Everything will be provided in class so you do not need to purchase anything. However, if your kid wants to practice at home, Size 2 footballs can be purchased from our online store
Do I have to buy the BSS kit?
Yes, you do have to buy the BSS kit. This can be purchased from our online store.
