Our Kids Football Classes In Hartlepool

All of our football classes are broken up into age groups. This allows the kids to learn at the right pace and to fully master skills before they begin working in groups and playing proper matches.

BSS Minis: Ages 5 – 8 years Old

BSS Minis is our youngest age group. These classes are designed to show your kid what is truly possible with and without a football.

These classes start with a warm up and then we move onto body and ball manipulation. We will work on skills such as juggling, passing and dribbling. In our BSS Minis classes, the focus is on individual technical work with the ball. This will take up no less than 60% of the session. The final 40% is for working on Futebol de Salão game situations. They will also be introduced to the ICFDS Skills Badge Scheme.

We advise that your child comes to 1-3 sessions per week to really get the benefits of the training. Each session is 60-90 minutes long.

BSS: Ages 8 – 11 years Old

When your kids move to the 8 – 11 year old classes, they will begin to compete more regularly. Although they will still work individually some of the time, they will also be working in groups and pairs. Your child will continue to work on specific skills, like passing, juggling and shooting.

In these classes the ICFDS Skills Badge Scheme will take more prominence. All movements and skills will be slowly taught so your child can really master them. As they master different skills, they will gain a Skills Badge.

We recommend your child comes to 1-3 sessions per week. The sessions are 60-120 minutes long.

BSS: 11+

From 11 to 18, your child will be in our  11+ classes. This is our oldest age group and, by this point, their technical foundation will have been laid. In these classes, we will move on to teaching them about players’ tactical, physical and mental development.

In these classes, your kid will play in every position on the field. Having experience and knowledge of every position will be highly beneficial to them as a football player. They will play in a variety of combinations, from 1 vs 1 and 11 vs 11. These are the classes where we bring in the more conventional Size 4-5 footballs.

The 11+ classes are 60-120 minutes long and we recommend your kid attends 1-3 sessions per week.

What Is Futebol de Salão?

Futebol de Salão is the Brazilian version of futsal. The term “futsal” originates from the Portuguese “futebol de salão” and from the Spanish “fútbol sala” or “fútbol de salón” which can be translated to “indoor football”.

Futebol de Salão is the Brazilian version of futsal. It is played between two teams of five players on a pitch that is the size of a basketball court. A heavier, smaller football with virtually no bounce is used in the game.

What Makes BSS Different?

One of the main ways that BSS is different is that we use Futebol de Salão as the basis of our training. Futebol de Salão is a tighter, faster paced version of football and it creates highly skilled players.

We have 4 key aspects to our training methodology. The first is Futebol de Salão. The other three key aspects are:

  • Emphasis on individual skills
  • Increased time training with the ball
  • Physical, mental & tactical training

With our training, your kid will become a highly-skilled football player, alongside being a well-rounded, healthy person.
